 When
my parents chose my name
they thought it was totally unique.
They didn't recall ever
hearing of anyone else with that name. My Mom says that it
sort of arrived "out of the blue" in a moment of inspiration.
That, of course, was before I reached
adulthood and set up this web page -- before I received e-mail from
others around the world who also were named "Shaylee". So, if
you happened to locate
this page because that's also your name, I would be delighted to hear from you.

And now, because almost all of us have
a "soft spot" for pets, I thought I'd include a couple of pictures
that mean a lot in our family. First of all, here's one of the
two "pups" that mean a lot to me. He's older now, but this is Junior as he
appeared a few years ago:
